First and only recreational multisensory room in Eastern Ontario!

The multisensory room at Aventures AHOY! Adventures is based on the “Snoezelen" approach with the aim of providing sensory stimulation to children with developmental disabilities. A refuge environment where there is no constraint, no requirement, no judgment. This room allows children to awaken their senses and their imagination while playing at their own pace. At AHOY! they will enjoy a peaceful experience while living a nautical adventure.

In order to meet everyone's needs, the space is both soothing and stimulating with a variety of lights, sounds and textures.

Aventures AHOY! Adventures’ multisensory room includes a rubber floor, tactile wall panels, bubble columns, projections on the wall, mirrors, heatless fiber optic cables, vibrating cushions, an illuminated ball pool, cocoon swing, essential oil diffuser, ocean "white noise", and more.
